Succeed with user friendly principles for exercise, family and work
Would you benefit from a simple and practical approach to achieving success in everything you do?Life can be complex when trying to deal with the demands of work, education, community involvement and a range of personal relationships while at the same time trying to discover the best way to succeed in each sphere of your life.
Do you sometimes think “I am not sure how to be as successful as I can in everything I do as there are so many different approaches?”Getting pushed and pulled in multiple directions can sometimes feel like you need to be more than one person and take a different approach in each aspect of your life. As a consequence it is not uncommon to feel:
- You are constantly spending your time fire fighting, chasing your tail and reinventing the wheel;
- There is never enough time to do things as well as you would like;
- Many of the techniques you are taught are difficult to implement and lack user friendliness;
- There is lots of material on "how to" do handle the technical challenges of life but the relationship dynamic is often ignored;
- There are so many hard to solve problems; and,
- There must be a simpler way.
Life is short and performing below your potential is such a wasteTrying to be different people in the different parts of our life and not having a simple, easy to use approach to achieving success in everything you do is a recipe for frustration, under performance and often disaster. Some of the implications of failing to develop a consistent approach to success include:
- Frustration with working hard for minimal return;
- Poor performance compared to what you know you can do;
- Lost potential, opportunities and achievement;
- Conflict, fighting, unhappiness and giving up at home and at work;
- You see partner exercise and working with others as failing to deliver;
- You stop your fitness and other activities rather than solving the problem and achieving what you want;
- Negative attitudes develop and you stop trying; and,
- Relationships deteriorate and fall apart.
Imagine how much more successful you could beWhen you develop a simple easy to follow approach which you can apply as the foundation for everything you do life becomes less complicated, productivity increases, stress declines and you achieve more that you could imagine. Some of the benefits include:
- As your fitness improves your performance improves and you become more successful;
- When you spend more quality time with others you discover possibilities;
- Success leads to success and you achieve more in everything you do;
- Focus and achievement becomes the norm rather than distraction and wasted effort;
- One set of principles which are easy to implement enables you to help others succeed;
- With clarity of your goals you see and create opportunities that previously passed you by;
- Your cycle of success gathers momentum and the more you achieve the more you can achieve.
We have been applying our success principles for many years and have finetuned them through more than 20 years CEO work, university degrees and research, fitness coaching and instruction and in personal and professional relationships. We open our workshop and personal success speeches with the question: Who has a plan for their success? The overwhelming response all around the world is that most people do not yet it is proven to be the single most factor in achieving success.
Apply the success principles
At the heart of being successful in everything you do is clarifying your plan for success which involves answering the three fundamental questions: A. What do I want to achieve? B. Where am I now? C. How do I get from where I am to where I want to go?
When two people, a team or organisation are involved the questions become “What do we want to achieve?”, “Where are we now?” and “How do we get from where we are to where we want to go?” and unless you answer these three questions In This Order your chances of success are drastically reduced. Failure to answer these three questions will lead to under performance or failure.
In order to incorporate the three success questions that form the basis of your user friendly approach to achieving success in everything you do we recommend the following seven step approach.
- Determine personal vision.
- Understand what makes you tick.
- Create shared vision including where to, where from and how to get there.
- Establish ground rules for all partnerships.
- Plan and take action consistent with your shared vision.
- Review and learn as you go.
- Celebrate.
